It’s a commonly-held belief that in a majority of situations, honesty is the best policy, and what happened today proved it. You see, after fellow DS106 participant Kelsey Stanbro’s computer shorted out, causing her to lose all of her files for that class, a Daily Create challenge was made, wherein all we needed to do was cheer her up. The problem is that, given my past inability to read the minds of others, I didn’t exactly know how to cheer Kelsey up. Admittedly, I had a bit of a tough time trying to find the right words to say, or the right image to convey, when it came to this particular challenge. It wasn’t long, however, before I came across something that summed up my exact feelings for Miss Stanbro, down to the slightest detail.

As the words suggest, while I may not be good at knowing how others think, I do know that the concept of human interaction boils down to being there for someone, in their moment of need. After uploading, and linking, these words to the necessary accounts, I felt like I had done something worthwhile for Kelsey. It is the thought that counts, after all.
